This new church and community centre in Grey Street, Waitara was officially opened on 16 February 2013. It replaced the Knox Presbyterian Church built on the same site in 1914 and had been some years in the planning. (TDN 17 September 2010)

It was designed with the assistance of Tony Biesiek, and the construction was coordinated by, "Ahead Buildings". The final budget for the building was $2.7 million, including an unexpected $200,000, needed when the ground beneath the building was discovered to be prone to liquefaction.

The complex includes the main auditorium (seating for 280), kitchen, office rooms, function rooms and a gymnasium. Floor area is 1326sqm at ground level and 139sqm of storage room upstairs.

The Presbyterian Church in Waitara celebrated its centennial on 25 October 2014. (TDN 27 October 2014)
