This house, located at 51 Morley Street, was moved off the site on 1 March 2024.
Located on (part) Town Section 262, it was built in 1913 for E.T. (Edward Thomas) Petty. A building permit was issued to Petty on 11 November 1913 for a residence on Town Section 262, with the estimated cost of the build listed as £380.00.
Edward Petty had purchased the Morley Street section in 1908 from Frank Newell, who had already built a villa on the corner of Morley and Powderham Streets. In 1913-14 Petty then built the house above on the northern part of the section which was subdivided off and sold in 1917.
In 1928 a certificate of title (CT) was issued under the Land Transfer Act TN124/218. The first registered owner was Florence Mary Dingle (later Liddington).
