The Dudley District War Memorial on Bedford Road, 5 kilometres southwest of Inglewood, was originally located in front of the old school (between the tennis courts and the ‘new’ school) on a concrete pad with concrete corner posts and chains. Approval for construction of the monument was granted by the Taranaki Education Board in October 1919 and it was moved around 1962 when the new school was built.
A Second World War memorial consisting of a marble plaque on the western end of the school baths was installed when the swimming pool was constructed in 1950. The baths were demolished in 2009 and WWII names added on a new panel to the WWI memorial. New WWI panels were also added in September 2009.
