Unveiled on State Highway 43 in 1956 (the same weekend as the Douglas School Jubilee) by MP T.T. Murray, the Douglas War Memorial domain gates were erected
in memory of those who fell during the First and Second World Wars. The metal gates were replaced by replicas prior to 2006.

Letters incorporated into wrought iron gates:
