A permit was granted to D. Sykes on 31 August 1933 for the construction of a house on Town Section 143, Young Street. The architect Thomas H. Bates, Boon Bros. were the builders, and the estimated construction cost was £1700.
A tender advertisement published in June 1933 might be for this residence.
