A permit was granted to D. Sykes on 31 August 1933 for the construction of a house on Town Section 143, Young Street. The architect Thomas H. Bates, Boon Bros. were the builders and the estimated construction cost was £1700.
The house was advertised for sale in the Taranaki Daily News on 6 September, 2014.
