Frank Scott was born on 31 January 1922 in Inglewood.

He enlisted with the RNZAF during World War Two and trained in New Zealand, including in New Plymouth, before being sent to train in Canada with the Royal Canadian Airforce in 1942. He was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer in August 1943.

When he returned home after the war he married Rosemary and lived in Inglewood and Stratford where he worked a road contractor. He died on 15 January 1994 and is buried in the Inglewood Cemetery.
