Trevor Victor Ayers was the son the Percy and Evelyn (nee Harding) Ayers and was born 22 April 1924 in New Plymouth. He married Elsie Daphne Capon on 23 February 1947.
After the war he worked as a mechanic in New Plymouth and then Auckland. He died in Auckland on 13 November 2001.
