Brian Autridge was born 8 June 1923 and served as a Flight Lieutenant with the RNZAF during World War Two. He was the son of Henry Lancelot Autridge and Harriet Sophia Jury of New Plymouth.
He trained in Manitoba and Alberta, Canada, before serving in the RNZAF.
He married Iris Mary Dick and worked as a shop assistant in New Plymouth after the war, before moving to the Hawke’s Bay. He died aged 88 on 1 May 2013 in Napier.
