This small church on St Aubyn Street in Moturoa sits adjacent to the historic Mission House.
The church was originally erected by Zaccheus William Wells on his farm in Lower Mangorei Road. Built as a family church, the first service was conducted by the Rev.H.H. Brown on 10 October, 1869.
The church was moved to its present site in 1940 after it was gifted to the Methodist Home Mission Department for the use of Maori worshippers. The church's centennial was celebrated in July 1969.
A significant restoration project was completed in 1997.
