Ayla Hutchinson descends from a strong line of Taranaki inventors and she started young setting her spark on the world. In 2013, aged just 13, she won Fieldays Young Inventor of the Year. Fast forward and her product is now sold worldwide.
The Kindling Cracker is a safe, axe-free way to prepare kindling. Using a mallet to hit wood against the divider splits the wood into kindling, which can then be used to light and feed your fire.
What’s next for Ayla? She’s finished school now and is working full-time for her Kindling Cracker company.
