The White Hart Hotel is located on the corner of Devon Street West and Queen Street. It was built in 1887 and has withstood the test of time to become a New Plymouth landmark.

The White Hart has experienced a number of alterations and renovations, the most recent in 2011-12 has preserved the facade and modernised the interior. It is registered Category I under the Historic Places Act 1993 and in 2014, as part of it's redevelopment process, an archaeological report was completed on the hotel and site.
