This villa was constructed for Alexander Milne in late 1901 or early 1902 - the architect and builder are currently unknown.
Milne was an electrician and was for many years involved in the Boy Scouts movement, being the District Commander.
Alexander sold the property to Edward Thomas Petty in October 1917; Petty sold the house to Samuel F. Hall in July 1919; who later sold it to Thomas Young in September 1922 - Young retained ownership until at least 1927, when the property title was issued under The Land Transfer Act.
