Construction of this retail and office block - on the site of the recently demolished Imperial Hotel - began in July 1973 and was expected to take 26 weeks.
It was built for the Auckland property company, Doyle and Cramp Holdings Ltd. and it was designed by their architectural division.
The contractors were Roebuck Construction Co. Ltd.
