A permit was granted by the Borough Council to John Hart on 29 May 1919 for the construction of a house on Section 103, Main South Road (now St Aubyn Street) - Hart was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £575.
The home has now been moved to the rear of the section, and another home and a shop constructed in front of it.
Hart also constructed neighbouring 478 St Aubyn Street a few months earlier in a similar style.
