A permit was granted by the Borough Council to John Hart on 7 March 1919 for the construction of a house on Section 104, South Road (now St Aubyn Street) - Hart was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £600.
Hart also constructed neighbouring 482B St Aubyn Street (now moved to the rear of the section) a few months later in a similar style.
