A permit was granted to J. R. Jillett on 19 July 1927 for the construction of a house on Section 7, Calvert Road (later re-named Lyn Street) - H. Peterson was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £550.
Jillett had earlier purchased Lot 7 from the Crown for £70 after they decided it was no longer required for state housing purposes.
