A permit was granted by the Borough Council to James Wall in August 1928 for the construction of a house on Lot 15, Calvert Road (now Lyn Street) – W. J. Wall was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £725.
Wall had earlier purchased Section 15 from the Crown for £65 in mid-1925 after they decided it was no longer required for state housing purposes.
