A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Joseph Cross on 16 August 1927 for the construction of house on Section 35 Aotea Subdivision, Avenue Road (later re-named Coronation Avenue) - R. L. Lovell was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £1000.
