This cottage, although now somewhat altered, was originally constructed about 1900 - it was removed from the site to an unknown location in 2017 to enable the construction of a used car sales yard.
The 1900-01 New Plymouth Borough Council Rating Book lists Amelia Blanchett as the ratepayer for Town Sections 2112 and 2113, with the property noted as with house (likely the present cottage), and was valued at £8.
