A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Walter L. Rockstrow on 8 October 1929 for the construction of a house on Pt 36 Aotea, Avenue Road (now Coronation Avenue) – C. L. Rawlinson was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £865.
