16 Beach Street (1924)

A permit was granted to H. C. Hammond in September 1924 for the construction of a house on Section 22, Beach Street - Boon Bros were the builders/contractors, and the estimated construction cost was £1200. 

Horatio Claude Hammond was a foreman for Boon Bros. and in his younger days a well-known footballer and athlete. He died suddenly on 5 August 1934, aged 55, at his residence in Beach Street.
