A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Mrs Francis on 30 September 1911 for the construction of a dwelling on Town Section 1028, Pendarves Street - Frank Newell was listed as the architect, and the estimated construction cost was £336.
This cottage was probably replaced a smaller circa 1873 cottage on the section.
