A permit was granted by the Borough Council to J. A. Mills on 13 November 1925 for the construction of a house on Section 11, Avenue Road - G. Mills was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £750.
The home has had a top storey added at a later date and currently forms part of Coronation Lodge Rest Home.
