A permit was granted by the Borough Council to F. D. Payne on 5 September 1923 for the construction of two houses on Town Section 1948, Hobson Street – Payne was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £1124.
The other home which has since been removed or demolished was located at 3 Hobson Street.
