The Waitara Bridge Plaque, 1913, was re-sited to the Waitara Military Cemetery, McLean Street, Waitara sometime after the replacement of the 1913 bridge was opened on 23 March 1973.

The 1913 bridge was opened on 22 May 1913 and was designed by Charles F Dowsett, Clifton County Engineer and constructed by the Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company, Darlington, England. It was erected on site by W T Johnston & Co.

Plaque Inscription reads:
