This single-furrowed plough memorial commemorating the pioneer settlers of Tikorangi was unveiled by local farmer, Thomas Hine in 1971. It was designed by New Plymouth architect, R. W. Syme and was erected by the members of the Tikorangi Young Farmers' Club with the assistance of bricklayer, G Grieve. It's located in the grounds of St Luke's Anglican Church.
The plaque reads:

IN MEMORY OFTHE PIONEER
SETTLERS OF THIS DISTRICT
