Retaining Wall, 33 Belt Road (1890s)

This retaining wall constructed of local Taranaki andesite was probably constructed in the 1890s, around the time this area was subdivided, and the likely date of construction of the cottage on the section. 

Only a few retaining walls of this style still survive in New Plymouth.
