This Railway Signal Box was originally from the Stratford railway yards. It was moved to Waitara in 1960 and erected on this riverside site on Queen Street, Waitara, as a clubhouse for the Waitara Boating Club. It is Site 9 on the Te Rangitaake Waitara Heritage Trail.
